7 Tips to Boost Your Immune And Oral Health

More than ever, building up and protecting your oral and immune health is essential. Your immune system is your body’s first line of defence against foreign infectious organisms, germs, allergens and more. The immune system comprises a vast network of cells, organs, proteins and tissues that work together to protect the body. Our immune system is not always able to do a perfect job, depending on our lifestyle and choices. Stress and underlying infections can wreak havoc on your immune system.

Important here is your oral health, which is one of the critical areas that can negatively impact your immune system and general health. Therefore, having excellent oral health is the foundation for a robust immune system and better overall health and energy. In the end, you’ll experience fewer illnesses.

Oral FITNESS Scorecard-2

To support and protect your oral health and your immune system, I share with you seven healthy tips, easy to integrate into your daily life. All products I mention below can be ordered at Dental Wellness.

Tip #1: Oral Probiotic
I recommend daily BioGaia Prodentis lozenges. Prodentis is an oral probiotic with Lactobacillus Reuteuri. A scientifically studied species boosting oral health.

Tip #2: Coconut Oil Pulling
Performing Coconut Oil pulling is simple—you just put a teaspoon or so of oil into your mouth and move it around for 5 to 10 minutes each day. That gives the coconut oil enough time to draw out toxins and leave your mouth clean. Afterwards, spit it out into a tissue and discard it in the bin.

Tip #3: Magnesium
I recommend Ultra Muscleze (BioCeuticals). Ultra Musclease helps calm the fight or flight impulse and induces more parasympathetic action before bed, encouraging healthy deep healing sleep.

Tip #4: Activated B Vitamin with CoQ10
One capsule a day of Mega B Q10 (BioCeuticals). This formula contains the bioavailable and metabolically active forms of vitamin B2, B6 and B9, plus CoQ10 to help maintain energy levels. Vitamin E and CoQ10 are antioxidants that reduce free radicals formed in the body. Vitamins B1, B6 and B12 support nervous system function and vitamin B5 supports a healthy stress response in the body.

Tip #5: D3/K2
D3/K2 is essential for good bone health, especially around teeth and metal-free ceramic dental implants.

Tip #6: Vitamin C
Vitamin C is critical to keeping your immune system strong. Many studies have shown its efficacy in cases of bacteria and viral infection, including lung inflammation caused by the flu and pneumonia.

Tip #7: Nasal rinse
I recommend the 98 Alive Nebulizer. The nebuliser starter pack is dedicated to those who want to frequently clean and keep the respiratory system healthy or overcome potential infections.
