Dr. David recently attended the SDS conference in Kreuzlingen, Switzerland, a stone’s throw from his hotel in Germany. The conference, focused on optimising whole-body health, aligns perfectly with Dr. David’s approach to dentistry.
The highlight of the conference was the introduction to the SDS ceramic implant system. This groundbreaking technology allows for immediate implant placement in every case, revolutionising the treatment of infected root canal-treated teeth. Patients can now have a tooth removed and a ceramic implant placed in a single appointment, walking out with a temporary crown. This process minimises downtime and pain, thanks to the use of ozone and PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) principles that Dr. David employs to optimise healing.
While this system is not yet available in Australia, Dr. David is excited about the possibility of its introduction in about nine months. He believes this could be a game-changer for implant dentistry in the country.
The conference brought together 120 dentists from around the world, including Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Costa Rica, North and South America. As the sole Australian representative, Dr. David found himself among the “superstars of world holistic biological dentistry.” He was impressed by the amazing community built around this shared philosophy of dental wellness.

The conference has left him energised and looking forward to implementing new ideas in his practice.
