In this case study, we explore how digital smile design can help patients achieve their ideal smile without the need for traditional braces. Our patient was unhappy with his current smile but was not interested in undergoing orthodontic treatment. Instead, we opted for a digital smile design approach.
The process commences with the creation of a three-dimensional model of the patient’s teeth and facial features. This is where the artistry of our skilled technician, Werner Sauer, comes into play. Werner designs the ideal smile, taking into account the patient’s entire face, including their lips, eyes, and midline, to ensure a harmonious and balanced result.
The digital design is then transferred to a physical model, which can be easily placed over the patient’s existing teeth. This allows the patient to visualise what their new smile could look like immediately. In this particular case, the patient was thrilled with the proposed design, which effectively disguised a large eye tooth on the left side and closed a noticeable gap.
With the patient’s approval, we could confidently move forward with the treatment plan to bring the digital smile design to life. At the end of the video, you’ll see the final result of this exciting transformation!
